Our buddy boat Salmagal motorsailed with us from Nevis to Little Bay, Montserrat.
Such a lovely place with a rich history of Irish immigrants and volcanic activity.
We have plans to go with the highly recommended tour guide Joe who is a world of information about the island culture and scenery.
We are planning on seeing the Volcanic Observatory and Hillsboro, a spot you can see the lush green, fertile lands of the North and the stark lunar ash landscape to the South.
This has been an active volcano as recently as Feb 2010, showing us mere humans the strength and awe of nature. There is a 2-3 mile exclusion zone near the South just for the ash flow and the capital of Plymouth was buried (think Pompeii).
Feeling truly blessed to be here and to show the boys the majesty and history of Montserrat.
